Hello my beautiful readers, Today I will be reviewing one of my fave products, the CC Cream from Etude House. Once again, Etude House did not disappoint me and introduced a wonderful product. This was my first CC Cream that I got and I’m happy with it. They have Silky and glowy but I went with silky as it has a matte finish, perfect for oily skin. The purpose of a cc correct&care cream is to correct your skin tone. This one has 8 more functions but I’m won’t be listing them again, I don’t type in company’s description of their own product. And it did fulfil it’s purpose. It helped reduce redness around my cheeks and the side of my nose which is why it is a ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE for people with troubled skin. Not only does it just correct skin tone but it also acts as a primer. It helps my make up to last up to 12 hours! I’m not even kidding here. I wore it to work last time 10h+lunch for 2h and I went home to see that my makeup looked exactly like how it was when I first put it! Amazing right! My makeup usually ends up looking dull after 7hours without the cc cream so this product really impressed me. Here is how to cc cream looks like on my skin. Whoa whoa whoa! I know it looks wayyyyyy different compared to my skin but once you blend it in, it will match your skin tone! It also has a pump. Bonus! I got mine from qoo10 for SGD 13. The Etude House outlets sells it for SGD 21 if I’m not wrong. What I like about this product I believe my entire review says it. What I dislike about this product Nothing. Really, I can’t think of anything. Anyway, I just bought stuff from Innisfree and I can’t wait to share them with you guys!! xoxo kkoch Truthfully, I don’t plan on reviewing this CC cream from Etude House because 1 I’m selling this 2 I’m selling this and 3 I’m selling this. So, yeah... I am selling this one before, but since there isn’t anyone who wanted to buy quite disappointing, eh?, then I might as well use it for myself and do a review. ^o^ Etude House CC Cream has two variants Silky and Glow. Just so you know, I already reviewed the Glow one before Review Etude House CC Cream – Glow. That made me hesitates to do this post, but soon realized that they’re different in many ways. When it comes to Etude House’s products, the packaging is always the first one to look at. And this one is no exemption to that. The CC cream comes in a white and sleek tube with a pump. It’s simple yet very royal. I have this theory that they packed their cc cream in a tube that represents its finish. I just noticed that because I own the two cc creams and the two of them have different tube-texture. Anyway, that’s just a theory. Just like the other Korean CC creams and the other variant of this, they have the same white-colored cream that will self-adjust while blending it onto the skin. This cc cream sure is easy to spread and a little goes a long way. It has a hint of lavender scent and is not overwhelming. It has a smooth and a bit runny consistency. I also did this test for you to see if Etude House CC cream Silky is sticky. As you can see, out of 12 paper pieces, only three remained after I flipped my hand. Impressive, right? If I will compare it to the Glow, Silky is less sticky. Ooh, they rhymed! LOL My skin became instantly smooth and soft like a silk. You just have to wait a minute or two before you settle it with your favorite powder then you’re good! Compared to the EH CC Glow, this one doesn't give a whitecast and despite of its light shade, it still matches my skin with yellow undertones. The finish is absolute matte after it dries up. Etude House claims that this cc cream could cover your flaws, but it couldn’t really. The coverage is very sheer and barely covers anything. I remember saying this before that some cc creams work better for those with a less skin problem. This CC cream, after all, was made to even out the uneven skin tone. I like using it under my BB cream and foundation or alone during my lazy days. A makeup with sheer coverage has its advantage too, you know? It might make you feel bare, but still, with its matte finish, it is a perfect one for no-makeup makeup, yes? Hmm.. The 8-in-1 formula sure is interesting. With one product, you can really skip your skin care routine I know you’re sensing a “but” here haha but, it’s moisturizing property is a bit lacking. Yes, it lacks moisture to my skin, I don’t if it’s just me, but I really did notice it. Maybe that’s the advantage of the other variant, CC cream Glow since its way better on moisturizing. Sun protection? Yes, it has SPF30 PA++. And given that it has Arbutin in it, I think that it will help whiten the skin with continued usage. Another good point of this cc cream is that it gives a healthy complexion on the skin and yes, it does even out my skin tone! It stays for about 3-4 hours prior to application. Yours truly wearing Etude House CC Cream under Maybelline BB Stick OVERALL EXPERIENCE Etude House CC Cream - Silky, 35g Price Available at All Etude House branches & Department Stores Nationwide ARE YOU INTO SILKY OR GLOW FINISH? COMMENT DOWN YOUR ANSWER & WHY! ^^ xoxo, M. Etude House just recently introduced their first CC Cream in Korea. Etude House Correct & Care CC Cream is available in a Silky and Glow formula promising an 8 in 1 formula that addresses the signs of anti aging and stress while whitening, hydrating, protecting, and smoothing the texture of skin. At the moment Tony Moly’s newest CC Cream that I reviewed recently is topping my list of must have CC Creams but I dare say Etude House will be quick to follow. Take a look! I purchased Etude House Correct & Care CC Cream in the silky formula since I’m not a fond fan of glowing CC or BB Creams. This has a smooth, even finish sans any sparkle, shimmer, or pearl. Unlike BB Creams, CC Creams are actual a step down in terms of coverage but still promise the same anti-aging benefits. CC Creams provide sheerer coverage and Etude House’s newest CC Cream is pretty basic, sheerer coverage. I personally don’t need a ton of coverage so these next generation CC Cream formulas are ideal for me as they correct but with lighter coverage that’s perfect for Summer wearing. The formula is a self adjusting formula that starts white and supposedly self adjusts to your perfect shade of color. Unlike Tony Moly’s CC Cream I found this wasn’t as friendly a formula to adjust well to a range of skin tones. It has a pink undertone to it that seems best suited to fairer, creamier skin tones. Considering it is so sheer possibly a range of tones can use it though from fair to medium just not darker as you probably won’t see the benefits. Keep in mind the formula is meant to correct so it will perfect skin to extent but won’t offer the coverage you might associate with a BB Cream or need to conceal blemishes or problem skin. It will however, correct problems like redness, darkness, dullness, or uneven skin tone. It basically takes already good skin and makes it great. For me it’s a my skin but better finish. The texture is very much like Tony Moly’s formula although it does run a little thinner in consistency. The runnier formula absorbs easily into skin and leaves behind lightweight coverage that protects with an SPF 30. I do prefer using my own sunscreen prior though as I feel more protected this way. The finish here is dewy at first but dries down to a soft, silky feel. It eases my dullness beautifully and perfects, evens out, and creates a healthy glow on my skin. The wear time varies but it seems to keep that fresh, healthy look on my skin for at least six to seven hours before my skin starts to look a little dull again. I have to say so far the CC Cream releases in Korea have been pleasant experiences for me. I loved this formula just as much as I did the Tony Moly one. I thought nothing could be as great as BB Cream but I’m realizing that the lighter texture and the more natural appearance of a CC Cream formula is exactly the type of coverage my skin craves. I don’t personally have bad skin aside from dullness and dryness but it does however, need a little boast to make it look great and this is exactly what that does. I wouldn’t recommend it for those who need coverage and concealing I would however, recommend to those who already have good skin but want it too look its very best. Well worth trying out. I got mine on E-bay from seller f2plus1 I am not affiliated with this seller. Posted on the 04 August 2021 by Statused The Etude House CC Cream is the new generation of multifunctional product. Its multi-functional properties include primer, moisturizer, anti-aging, dewy complexion, special treatment for fine lines and wrinkles, lightening, stabilizing, fighting free radicals and more. By combining these functions into one cream, the product becomes an all-in-one treatment that provides moisture while protecting skin from free radical damage and deterioration caused by free radicals. Review of Etude House CC Cream – Silky I have been using this product for a few years now. I did not use to wear any make up until I found out about this product. This is great for everyday wear, and does not feel like you are wearing any make up at all! I would highly recommend this to anyone who is wanting to start wearing make up and does not want something that is heavy on their skin. It also lasts a really long time! – Maya Waters This cc cream is amazing and I have been using it every day since I got it! It has a nice spf in it, which is great for summer. It also evens out my skin tone really well and makes me look more awake. And it saves me so much time, because I usually wear makeup only on the weekends with my busy schedule during the week. It’s also very moisturizing and feels light on my skin. – Freya Summers I love Etude House, and this CC cream is fantastic. It is light and goes on like a dream. I credit it with my ultra even skin tone over the last couple of months. I use it as a primer underneath my foundation, and on its own in the summer when I’m not wearing foundation at all. Paired with a good SPF, it is also an excellent choice for those who want to protect their skin from the sun but hate how sunscreen feels and smells and looks. – Courtney Stanley Product Descriptions Etude House’s new CC Cream is a multitasking, 8-in-1 formula that hydrates and primes skin at an easy single step. It contains 8 different products at one time Ultraviolet protection, moisturizing, skin brightener, primer, concealer, skincare, makeup, and treatment. Etude House claims that this all-in-one product is perfect for anyone who wants a flawless complexion without having to go through the trouble of applying multiple products. It contains Orange Flower Water that cools and refreshes skin, Vitamin C to fight free radicals and Moisturizing Factors to help with skin elasticity and moisture retention. Not sticky, this makeup looks natural on your skin. Features Hydrates skin Evens out skin tone Provides instant radiance Smooths skin Conceals pores and fine lines Protects from sun damage SPF 30 PA ++ Decreases signs of aging Treats & prevents acne-causing breakouts for clearer, healthier looking skin How to Use Use it alone or layered under your favorite foundation Apply liberally and blend evenly with your fingertips for natural coverage. I’m really grateful for a good friend I have – not only is she a good person, she’s also my equivalent of the Evil Queen’s talking mirror from Snow White. Except that my “mirror” has design training background, so whenever I apply my truckloads of makeup and ask her “How’s it?”, she’ll go into very detailed explanations about how “it’s a shade of grey” and the “texture is not fine, your previous BB had a more airbrushed finish, it has a tinge of yellow and doesn’t match with your natural pink skintone” etc. This is wayyyy better than “ok, nice”. I’ve been harassing her for a couple of weeks whilst I alternated between my numerous CC creams – I bet she wants to punch me now. haha. Etude House Correct & Care CC Cream – Silky there’s another version which is the Glow version The Glow version gives a more dewy finish – a bit too dewy in my opinion, which is why I bought the Silky one. Etude House Correct & Care CC Cream Silky – KRW14,000 Similar to the Holika Holika Face 2 Change CC cream – it’s a stark white cream Can you see the micro-capsules? It’s even more visible and can be felt more obviously than Holika Holika’s CC cream Applying and blending it into my skin – the colour changes from white to pink-beige A natural finish that doesn’t cover much of my blemishes A pinkish-whitish finish under natural sunlight – note the difference between my face and my neck. Under indoors lighting – the left side one is how I look when I forget to switch off the monitor before taking a selca. A close-up – you can see that the finishing is more matte than silky. I say… I first chanced upon this product when I was stewing in my chair for hours whilst doing my hair at some Korean hair salon. The magazines did such a great job recommending it along with a DPS full page spread that I absolutely had to buy it. Yes, it’s that easy to earn my money. heh. The texture is slightly more liquid than Holika Holika’s CC cream, and spreads easily. The micro colour-changing capsules are also more grainy and slightly more coarse than Holika’s. In fact, if it wasn’t for the box description, I wouldn’t have known that there were supposed to be micro-capsules. However, this one isn’t coarse to the point that it scratches your skin; it’s just obvious to the touch. The blending requires more effort than Holika – somehow, the overall effect isn’t as good as Holika. It gives a more whitish finish than a natural finish. There’s not much silky finish though – it’s quite a matte finish that’s relatively unKorean. The coverage isn’t strong too – you can so clearly see my dark eye circles. heh. In fact, I had to dispense 2-3 pumps of this CC cream to cover my blemishes vs Holika Holika, where I only used pumps. It does stay relatively long, about 4 hours, but the coverage is so little that it doesn’t really matter that it stays – my talking mirror was like “Why so many spots on your face”? MEH! 😦 Overall, it’s not a bad CC cream but it isn’t the best either. It’s affordable though, so if you’ve got good skin without much to conceal, you can try this one. I’m either gonna wear this to my neighbourhood McDonald’s, or sell it off. Any takers? Check out my For Sale page XD
